i met graeme at the down town attraction at the Ryder cup 2008, and have followed your career ever since. you were very polite and curteous. it gave me immense pleasure to watch you win on sunday night and and also to have ten pounds each way at 80-1!! a thousand pounds better off, so if im lucky enough to meet you again, the first pint of guinness is on me!
best wishes paul baker |

I am playing Royal Portrush in September and am even more pumped to play it after Graeme's fantastic win at Pebble Beach. The guy kept his cool and gutted it out against a heck of a field. Playing one of Graeme's home courses will be an honor.

Graem,
Congratulations on your US Open win! How wonderful that you were so gracious to the gallery, even smiling and kidding with everyone on your walk to the 18th green. I would like to visit your town and club in Northern Ireland someday with my husband (he is an avid golfer here in Illinois)! It looks like such a beautiful place. Enjoy your victory! |

A BIG CONGRATS TO GMAC -
What a great performance to win the US Open it was awesome and well deserved. And further more he didnt't forget to acknowledge his family and to have his Dad with him most of been SWEET. Its refreshing to see how proud he is to hail from NIR . He is a very bright, smart, and a CLASS ACT. I am schedule to play golf at Rotal Portrush this coming july, I am looking forward to it , should be a thrill. |

Congratulations to Graeme!
He is not only a terrific golfer, but he is a fine gentleman and a very good looking personable and charming young man. Looking at pictures of his home course, I can see why he said playing at Pebble Beach was like playing at home surrounded by ocean. You in Northern Ireland can all be proud of him. He has a wonderful future ahead of him and it is a pleasure to have had him here in the states. |

My dad, who grew up in Newtonstewart before coming to Canada, first took me to play the Dunluce links in 1970 with the lofty green fee of one pound. It was one of the most grand games in all my (now 47) years of golf. Last time we played here was 1985, so I hope to make it back some time soon just to try and hit the green on Calamity Corner one more time. Congratulations to Graeme!

My brother Leslie has worked there for maybe 20 years. Please relay this message to Graeme Mc Dowell ... first thing they need to do over here is learn how to pronounce McDowell and second thing is well done ... i watched very hole and if you never win another tourament in your career, this one will make up for all the practice. It was always on the cards that someone from NI would win one day but it looked more likely it would be young McIlroy or Clarkey, but Mr McDowell you surprised everyone. Well done and take some time now to enjoy the win.

A superb links with which I had no problem recalling any of the holes such was quality of the course.
The Irish stew was fabulous and set us up for the round. |

Played the superb Dunluce at Royal Portrush whilst developing the new Northern Ireland golf travel provider in March 2009. Fantastic course and club. The entire Northern Ireland golf offering is second to none!

We had a wonderful round at Portrush...While a tough track, we found it to be fair and rewarding of good shots. We could play this course every day for the rest of our lives and never get bored with it.
Thanks for an outstanding experience! |

Magnificent... played with 3 Australians there on 3rd of Sept 2008.
A question. Does anyone know who the club professional was when the British Open was played in 1951? Did he take part? Thx P |

Played Royal Portrush October 2008 with one of their Professionals David Jones. After playing this course you're left in no doubt as to why this course is rated as one of the best in the world. The views are sensational and their fairways are better than most greens i have played on. Can't decide which is better though, County Down or Portrush?

We had the pleasure of playing the Dunluce course in September 2008 as part of a four-day links pilgramage. The course was in magnificent condition and represents one of the toughest tests I have faced for a long time, even with hardly a breath of wind! Everything you will have read about this wonderful club is true - treat yourself and have a visit to remember!

Had the opportunity of playing the course, and had a great time. the winds, the rough, the greens, the bunkers, and the views were outstanding. Play this course at least once in your lifetime, and you will always remember the Royal Potrush.

Outstanding, has it all!

I have been priveleged to play many fine Golf Courses in my 63 years, but the experience of the Dunluce Links was perhaps the most memorable Golfing Experience at the very top of the list.
My 17 friends and myself enjoyed unseasonably wonderful weather on the 8th May, which added to the enjoyment. Your GreenStaff had done a fabulous job of preparing the course, and I plan to return next May with 7 other friends whom I am sure will take away equally good memories of a fabulous Golf Course. |

Had the great priviledge of playing both the Valley and Dunluce courses over 2 visits to a good friend currently living in Ballymena.(Thanks to Tom Morrison for organising) Weather played along but the course still won on both days! Remains rated in my top 5 courses played world-wide.

I remember in Jan./Feb. 1944 when we played The Royal. We were members of the U.S. 507th Parachute Inf. Regt. encamped in downtown Portrush prior to D-Day.
A few short years ago I came back to dedicate the 507 PIR Memorial set just west of you club house. A fine luncheon and hospitality par excellence. |

I recall those wonderful days in July when the North of Ireland Championships had players from far and wide on every fairway of both Dunluce and Valley Courses. Magnificent memories and sunny days (although maybe not every day!).

my favorite course of all time, even with the wind blowing 30 mph and lots of rain.

I'm looking forward to playing Royal Portrush later this year. It sure seems an awesome challenge. Thanks for the walkthrough gallery - very unusual but great idea - I can't wait to come and tee up.

Played last August- Recollection was triggered to think about it when Padrig Harrington said it was his favorite course in the world today at the LA Open

Played Royal Portrush recently when on vacation and what I pleasure. I had looked forward to it for many years and it was worth waiting for. What a magnificent course and spectacular location. Thanks for the memories!

Played the Royal course yesterday and may I say that it was an absolute treat to play such a wonderful course. Even on a sunnny but cool winters day the course was in magnificent condition and is a true challenge of golf. Thanks to Leo Mullan, our host for such a fantastic day and we look forward to coming back next year. Ryan, Mark and Alistair

Beautiful, Wonderful, Magnificent! Thanks for the memories!

Well the weather was OK on the 9th of September, but playing your terrific course without the aid off a caddie, and with no yardage (or meter) markers on the fairways made for a difficult day. My oversight was not purchasing the guide book at the pro shop..
